Halloween may look a little different this year, but there are still plenty of festive activities for the whole family to enjoy at pumpkin patches throughout the county.
NORTH COUNTY INLAND
Bates Nut Farm
15954 Woods Valley Road – Valley Center
Masks and social distancing required, dogs are welcome if leashed. Weekdays: hayrides, straw maze, petting corral, pony rides, farm zoo, boutique, and general store. Free admission, $5 parking on the weekends. Open weekdays 9 AM – 5:30 PM and weekends 8:30 AM to 6 PM.
Rancho Bernardo Pumpkin Farm
13421 Highland Valley Road – Escondido
U-pick pumpkin patch with tractor hay-wagon rides, petting zoo, and corn maze. Free parking and admission, fee for the corn maze and hay rides. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Oct. 16, then open daily 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Fall Harvest 2020

Pumpkin picking, hayrides, vendors, antique tractors, fresh produce, food. Free admission. Open 10 AM to 6 PM.

Carlsbad Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze

Beachside U-pick pumpkin patch with corn maze ($10 fee), rides, games, and food. Haunted Field of Screams. Patch hours 9 AM – 7 PM with haunted corn maze hours 7 PM to 10:30 PM.

Seaside pumpkin patch with the largest selection in the area – some up to 100 pounds. Weekday hours 10 AM to 10 PM, Sat/Sun 8 AM to 10 PM.
Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns

Masks, social distancing, and COVID-19 waivers enforced with sanitation stations throughout the patch. Food, drinks, games, activities, pumpkin carving kits for sale. Free admission. Opening October 3rd. Mon – Thurs 11 AM to 8 PM, Fri – Sat 10 AM to 9 PM, Sunday 10 AM to 8 PM.
Mission Valley Pumpkin Station

Coronado Pumpkin Patch

Opening October 17th with Halloween activities, food, and photo opportunities on Coronado Ferry Landing.
Julian Farm & Orchard
4381 Highway 78 – Santa Ysabel
U-pick patch featuring 3 acres of pumpkins. Monday, Thursday and Friday, 11 AM to 5 PM, pumpkin picking only. Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM, open for activities as well including hayrides, barnyard animal zoo, axe throwing, apple cider pressing. On weekends, a minimum of $10 ticket purchase required to use for activities or pumpkin purchase.
Oma’s Pumpkin Patch

Patch with petting corral, pedal cart race track, playground, and wagon rides for $3 a person. Admission fees apply – purchase online before going. Free parking. Open 10 AM to 7 PM, Tues – Sat.
750 Depot Street – Campo
Pumpkin Express at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum Association features decorated vintage rail car rides through the mountains. Kids encouraged to wear costumes and decorate pumpkins after the train ride. Tickets between $5 and $14, every toddler and child ticket includes a pumpkin. Train rides limited to 50 passengers, and interiors sanitized between rides.
