Steve and Victoria Gore Welcome You to Mission Valley

Mission Valley is where San Diego comes to shop. Not one, but two shopping malls are located in this sprawling valley: Fashion Valley and Westfield’s Mission Valley, with stores targeting those from trendy teenagers to ultra-upscale fashionistas. Beyond the malls, innumerable shopping centers, vast chain restaurants, and other money-magnets mob the valley. Hotel Circle is a never-ending strip of hotels, from low-end inns to expansive resorts, frequented by tourists and the convention center crowd because of the area’s convenience to the freeways. Mission Valley is grand, humbling, and often confusing, but once its infrastructures are mastered, it truly is a shopper’s paradise.

Also located in Mission Valley is the Riverwalk Golf Club. Steeped in a rich tradition of golf legends past, Riverwalk Golf Club offers a classic golfing experience. Formerly known as the Stardust Country Club, the course hosted the PGA tour during the 50's and 60's. Today's players are treated to the challenge of the original course at the newly reborn Riverwalk. What was once flat now features undulating fairways, waterfalls and well-protected bentgrass greens. Water comes into play on 13 of the 27 holes with a spectacular waterfall surrounding the green of the signature hole. The San Diego River, a prominent feature of the layout, contributes to the beauty and challenge of the course.

Mission Valley Schools & Education

Public & Private Institutions Of Learning

Education is provided by public, private and home schools. State governments set overall educational standards, often mandate standardized tests for K–12 public school systems and supervise, usually through a board of regents, state colleges, and universities. Funding comes from the state, local, and federal government. Private schools are generally free to determine their own curriculum and staffing policies, with voluntary accreditation available through independent regional accreditation authorities, although some state regulation can apply.
